This month Americans celebrated Abraham Lincoln’s birthday (February 12, 1809), George Washington’s (February 22, 1732), and just U.S. Presidents in general on Presidents’ Day (February 20). I personally have enjoyed studying the lives of Washington and Lincoln as well as many others who have been the Commander-in-Chief. There is still so much to learn about them, even after all these years e.g. “Personal Memoirs of Ulysses S. Grant.” One of those things to learn is that Abraham Lincoln was apparently a vampire hunter.
The song “Powerless” comes from the film “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” (2012). It only makes sense for a music video about Lincoln to be performed by Linkin Park. If you thought Abraham Lincoln wasn’t legendary enough (Emancipation Proclamation and Gettysburg Address), then an axe with a gun built inside of it that he uses to slay vampires will be enough to convince you. The rebellious south and blood-thirsty vampires will feel the swift blow of Lincoln’s army and his axe.
Four-score and seven chops to those nasty vampires.
