Here is the official first look at my new Music Monday image titled “The Shredding Shredder.” I wanted to make a special post to show it off and give a big thanks to my old pal, Caleb, who took the time (he’s a Middle School art teacher) to answer my request and create this work of art. I told him what I was looking for and he took care of the rest.
In our day of technology it is good to remember how things used to be done. Sure computers and apps are a wonderful tool that can enhance a project for an artist, but a piece of paper and a pencil should never be forgotten. Caleb has reminded the viewer of this. From simple thoughts come incredible works.
Every comic book store and guitar shop should have a stained glass window with the image of Shredder shredding his six strings. To me, Caleb’s masterpiece falls into the same group as: the roof of the Sistine Chapel, the Mona Lisa, the statue of Perseus with the head of Medusa, and the illustrations of Jim Lee. Caleb’s “The Shredding Shredder” belongs in the same discussion. What a privilege it is to be able to use it on this blog.
Stay tuned for some epic Music Monday’s with The Shredder!
